"VG Kvadra Pak" receives "Grand Prix" for the best packing in Latvia

The first prize winner will be paid a membership in the international competition "Worldstar Packaging Awards 2014" organized by the World`s Packing Organization. The judging panel of the competition has awarded also several acknowledgements, but packing “Rīgas šprotes asorti” (Riga sprats assorted), submitted by "VG Kvadra Pak", ranked the first place in the category “Trade packing for food products”, in the category "Trade packing for confectionery products” the first prize went to the series of boxes of chocolates "Fazer Travel Trade" submitted by "VG Kvadra Pak", but in the category "Trade packing for beverages" the first prize went to the packing of "Riga Black Vodka" submitted by LTD "Brandbox". This was already the 17th competition the "Best Packing in Latvia” organized by LIA. This year 28 packing and packing series from 16 companies participated in the competition, and they received several evaluations both from consumers and packing experts. The packing judging panel rated works according to the certain criteria in the following work categories: trade packing for food products, confectionery products, beverages, presentation packing, "new instead of old" and innovative projects, displays and stands and packing auxiliary aids. In order to promote development of manufacturing of environment friendly packing and introduction of progressive ecological material manufacturing and packing technologies in Latvia, currently also the ecological packing group is included into competition.
